Conditions of Business for Buyers

REGISTER A VERIFIED ACCOUNT
You must register and maintain a Verified Account with Green Auctioneers Limited. The registration process requires your debit card or credit card information, and your address.  You must also confirm that you have read and accepted our Conditions of Business for Buyers and the Authenticity Guarantee.
To bid in an Online Auction, you must be registered as a Verified Account holder at the latest 1 hour before the start of the Online Auction.

Go to the Menu bar > Click “Register to Bid” > Click “Login/Create an Account”

 

REGISTER TO BID
First time bidders are required to provide a valid ID (passport, identity card, or driving license). In some cases, Green Auctioneers Limited may impose a credit limit to the online applicant, in which case the amended credit limit will be communicated to the client upon receipt of the registration form.

Green Auctioneers reserves the right to decline or revoke your registration at any time prior to the auction based on a review of your account and/or bank reference details.

 

PRE-SALE ESTIMATES
The pre-sale estimates which are stated in the Auction Information do not include Buyer’s Premium, shipping and delivery fee, or any applicable taxes or tariffs.

 

ONLINE BIDS
Execution of online internet bids is a free service undertaken subject to other commitments at the time of the sale, and Green Auctioneers does not accept liability for failing to execute an online internet bid of for errors or omissions in connection with this activity, including, without limitation, errors or failures caused by (i) a loss of connection on Green Auctioneers or your end; (ii) a breakdown or problems with the online bidding software and/or (iii) a breakdown or problems with a client’s internet connection, computer or system.

MONITORING AND INCREASING YOUR BIDS
If you are outbid at any time, you will receive an email notification informing you accordingly. We encourage you to monitor the bids on lots throughout the duration of the ONLINE/LIVE Auction to ensure your status as the highest bidder up until the close of the Auction.

NOTE: All bid cancellation must be written to be received and confirmed by Green Auctioneers Limited.  No bid cancellation can be made within 24 hours before the closing of the sale.

 

AUCTION PREVIEWS
Previews are organized and curated by Green Auctioneers Limited prior to each online and live auction. Information and details can be found on our website and our mobile apps.  Previews are free of charge and open to private appointment only. We encourage interested parties to view the lots in person prior to the sale.  Green Auctioneers Limited reserves the right to refuse the entry of any visitor who violates our condition of business.

 

SUCCESSFUL BIDDERS
If you are the successful bidder, in addition to the hammer price, you will be required to pay us the buyer’s premium. The Net Invoice Amount on your invoice excludes any applicable value added tax (VAT), sales or compensating use tax or equivalent tax.  NOTE: ALL BANKS CHARGES MUST BE PAID BY THE BUYER.

You are expected to pay for your purchases within seven calendar days of the sale. Payment may be made by bank transfers and cash. Invoices are sent out by mail after the auction.

 

PAYMENT TERMS
We accept Cash in Advance payment and Direct Bank Transfer ONLY.
Invoice must be paid immediately and no later than 7 days after the auction, and the payer must be the same as the successful bidder.  The Net Invoice Amount on your invoice excludes any applicable value added tax (VAT), sales or compensating use tax or equivalent tax, or banks charges.  NOTE: ALL BANKS CHARGES MUST BE PAID BY THE BUYER.
Please submit the remittance instruction together with your name and invoice number to the bank.

 

 

GOVERNING LAW
These terms and conditions are governed by Hong Kong Law and the Courts of Hong Kong will have exclusive jurisdiction in respect of any dispute.
These conditions of business may be changed without notice.

 

CONDITIONS OF SALE
The item is sold AS IS, WHERE IS, in the condition it is in at the time of sale.
We do not guarantee the time keeping or the waterproofness of the watches we propose for sale.  Green Auctioneers Limited is acting as an agent between the seller and a buyer. We do not restore, service, or test any of the watches we propose for sale in our online sales, private treaty or in the ‘Buy Now’ section.
The online condition report is provided to assist you with assessing the condition of the item and is for guidance purposes only. The images of the item also form part of the online condition report for the item provided by Green Auctioneers Limited. Any reference to condition in the online condition report does not amount to a full description of condition. The online condition report may make reference to particular imperfections of the item, but you should note that the item may have other faults not expressly referred to in the online condition report of the item or shown in the online images of the item. The online condition report may not refer to all faults, restoration, alteration, or adaptation because Green Auctioneers Limited is not a professional conservator or restorer but rather the online condition report is a statement of subjective, qualified opinion genuinely held by Green Auctioneers Limited (for example, information regarding colour, clarity and weight of gemstones are statements of opinion only and not statements of fact by Green Auctioneers Limited). Green Auctioneers Limited endeavour to include reference to any replacement parts within our condition reports we cannot confirm that each individual element of the watch is original or that, if replaced the replacement has been made using original manufacturer’s parts.
Please also note that we do not guarantee, and are not responsible for, any certificate, extract from archives from a watch Manufacturer or a gemmological laboratory that may accompany the item. In addition, certain images of the item provided online may not accurately reflect the actual condition of the item (for example, the online images may represent colours and shades which are different to the item’s actual colour and shades). For these reasons, the online condition report is not an alternative to taking your own professional advice regarding the condition of the item. NOTWITHSTANDING THIS ONLINE CONDITION REPORT OR ANY DISCUSSIONS CONCERNING AN ITEM, ALL ITEMS ARE OFFERED AND SOLD “AS IS” IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CONDITIONS OF SALE/BUSINESS APPLICABLE TO THE RESPECTIVE SALE.
